Larvas del escarabajo neotropical Zophobas morio (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) resultan de ser un alimento muy importante en el mantenimiento de animales insectívoros de toda clase (escorpiones, arañas, anfibios, reptiles, aves, mamíferos y monos). Los métodos de su cultivo elaborados en Europa desde 1977 (Friederich & Volland 1981) son diferentes del cultivo en regiones tropicales calurosas y húmedas, pero con la ventaja de generar costos mínimos si el diseño del proyecto de crianza intensiva o extensiva es apropiado. Se describe tres tipos del cultivo intensivo y extensivo a bajo costo.Downloads
