EVALUACION DE LA PRODUCCION DE PASTURAS EN JENARO HERRERA - BAJO UCAYALI

Entre diciembre de 1984 a octubre de 1985, se ha evaluado el potencial de producción de materia seca de Homolepis aturensis (H.B.& K.) Chase y Brachiaria decumbens Stapf, tanto en potreros monoespecíficos como asociados con Pueraria phaseoloides (Roxb) Benth. Se utilizó el diseño de parcelas divididas, el intervalo de corte fue de 3, 6, 12 y 24 semanas. Las asociaciones tienen mayor producción de materia seca; sin embargo esta es baja, al igual que en las gramíneas solas. Para mantener la estabilidad y producción de B. decumbens + P. phaseoloides es necesario fertilizar el suelo. Por el contrario la asociación H. aturensis con P. phaseoloides, no requiere fertilización debido que H. aturensis es una especie nativa bien adaptada a la baja fertilidad y elevada acidez de los suelos de la Amazonía.Downloads
