Abstract

Desde agosto de 1990 a diciembre de 1992, se realizó un estudio relacionado a la crianza de Leptodactylus pentadactylus (Laurenti, 1768) "Hualo" (Amphibia: Leptodactylidae), viviendo en un ambiente seminatural al aire libre del Laboratorio de Quistococha del Instituto de Investigaciones de la Amazonía Peruana (IIAP), Iquitos - Perú, determinando sus requerimientos biológicos de subsistencia. Al término del estudio se reportan nociones sobre su distribución, descripción y resultados preliminares sobre su manejo, comportamiento, e industrialización de la carne y subproductos.
