CULTIVO PRELIMINAR DE CHURO, Pomacea maculata (Ampullaridae, Gasteropoda, Perry, 1810)

En este artículo se reportan los resultados de cultivos preliminares de "churo", en acuarios y en estanques de tierra. Se utilizaron cuatro acuarios con fertilizantes y vegetación acuática para la etapa de pre cría y tres estanques de tierra para la etapa de cultivo. Al cabo de doscientos catorce días de cultivo en estanques se observó que los especímenes crecieron hasta alcanzar un promedio de 78,12 mm. de altura y 58,62 mm. de diámetro mayor y a la vez llegaron a la madurez sexual empezando a oviponer. En este momento se realizó la evaluación del cultivo. El rendimiento en términos de gr/m2 ha sido de 23,5; 31,78 y 8,18 en cada uno de los estanques. Esto se debe a la baja sobrevivencia alcanzada que fue de 10%, 8,61% y 1,39%, respectivamente.Downloads
