LAS COMUNIDADES DE PALMERAS EN DOS BOSQUES DE “ALTURA” EN LA AMAZONIA PERUANA

Los estudios realizados en dos bosques de “altura” en el bajo río Ucayali, amazonía peruana; indican una muy alta diversidad de especies, representada por 29 especies y 16 géneros en 0.71 ha y 34 especies y 21 géneros en 0.5 ha respectivamente. En ambos casos se trata de pequeñas palmeras del sotobosque; más del 99% de la comunidad no sobrepasa los 10 m. de altura. Varios géneros y especies encontrados no son frecuentes en las tierras bajas de la amazonía peruana, más bien son comunes en el piedemonte andino y en las vertientes orientales de la cordillera, lugares que se encuentran lejos de la influencia de la flora subandina de palmeras del Oeste de las tierras bajas de la cuenca amazónica.Downloads
